Monster High Frankie Inspired Cake

Last year for Halloween  my daughter was Frankie from the popular tween sensantion Monster High. Monster High first became popular via the internet and internet only cartoon shorts. About 3 years later they are still a pretty big deal. This birthday cake is inspired by the Frankie doll with her gingham outfits and polka dot tie, any fan of this series would scream for this cake.

Pretty in Pink - Baby's 1st Birthday

Life is full of significant milestones.  Baby's 1st Birthday is one of them.  The Pretty in Pink cake was a vanilla bean flavour with pink cream chessecake frosting in the middle, diving two layers of moist cake. Fondant was used to drape the cake in beautiful pink, while gum paste was used to adorn with pearls and ribbon.  A special 1st Birthday gift for a special little girl. You can order this design in any color, and in three flavors. Vanilla Bean, Chocolate Chocolate Pudding and Strawberry.  Cream cheese frosting can also be substituted for butter cream. 

 

Cupcakes!!! From Wishing on a Star to Sex and the City.

The cupcake craze is still very much alive.  Cupcakes are a great way to make things quicker, less messy and much more mobile. I made some once for a birthday party that was being held in a very popular mall bear store, obviously, cake could not be enjoyed in the store and the parents didn't want to celebrate cake in the food court, so instead we made some on the go cupcakes, each with its own candle and packed in its own giftly box.  The birthday girl gave them out at the end of the party and everyone took them away, leaving Mom and Dad with no mess, and some very happy little boys and girls.

 

The picture above displays our Purple Rain Birthday Cake that is moist Red Velvet with a shot of Baileys cream liquer in the icing that crumb coated the cake.  A Birthday treat for a Birthday Girl celebrating another Milestone (sorry, which one we can't say)   The cupcakes?  We call these the Samantha Jones cupcake.  Chocolate chocolate pudding (yep, I meant to say chocolate twice) with  virgin or non cosmopolitan flavored cream cheese icing.

 

The Day to Night cupcakes are an equal parts chocolate chocalate pudding and vanilla bean cupcakes.  They can be either cream cheese or butter cream, applied as a puffy cloud frosting sprinkled with stars of various shapes.  Of course customization is always welcome.

Our cupcakes can be packaged individually, so your guests can take them away and maybe save them for a late night snack.  Whatever vision you have for your party or celebration, we can get you there.
